Douglas (35), from Edinburgh, is the Regional Sales Manager of The BenRiach Distillery Co. Ltd, an independent company formed in 2004 which owns the BenRiach Distillery in Speyside and the GlenDronach distillery in the Highland region. He is responsible for developing both brands of whisky throughout Asia Pacific, South America and France.

A graduate of the University of Strathclyde with a degree in marketing and modern languages, Douglas is a keen linguist who speaks German, French, Spanish, Catalan, Italian and is currently learning Mandarin.

He developed his passion for whisky when he worked in the team at the Scotch Whisky Experience in Edinburgh. Since graduating Douglas has pursued a career in exporting and is delighted to now ‘unlock the secrets’ of the BenRiach and GlenDronach whiskies by conducting seminars, training sessions and tastings worldwide.
